Safety Center
Your safety is one of Sunward's highest priorities. While meaningful travel creates incredible experiences, every opportunity also comes with personal responsibility. These safety recommendations are designed to help travelers and hosts build trusted, respectful, and secure experiences.
1. Before You Apply
Read the opportunity carefully. Review the host profile, ratings, verification status, responsibilities, benefits, location, and expectations before submitting an application.
2. Before You Travel
Communicate through Sunward, confirm important details in advance, prepare travel documents, understand local laws, arrange appropriate insurance if needed, and share your itinerary with someone you trust.
3. During Your Stay
Respect local customs, communicate openly, follow agreed expectations, and leave immediately if you ever feel unsafe.
4. Safety for Travelers
Choose verified hosts whenever possible, avoid sending money outside official payment channels, keep emergency contacts available, and trust your instincts if something feels wrong.
5. Safety for Hosts
Review traveler profiles, communicate expectations clearly, provide accurate opportunity information, maintain a safe environment, and respect every traveler's privacy and dignity.
6. Online Safety
Protect your password, enable available security features, avoid sharing sensitive personal information, and beware of phishing or suspicious links.
7. Identity Verification
Verification helps increase trust but does not guarantee a person's behavior. Always exercise good judgment when interacting with others.
8. Reporting Problems
If you experience harassment, fraud, discrimination, unsafe conditions, or any other serious issue, report it through Sunward as soon as possible so our team can review the situation.
9. Emergencies
If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Sunward cannot replace emergency responders but will cooperate when appropriate.
